Have you noticed there hasn't been much good stuff happening in the world? Reading the paper, watching the news, and even some of the personal news that I've been hearing has all been bad.
Most of it is the economy of course. But on top of all the news I absorb, a lot of people I talk to think the country is going to hell in a hand basket. People are down. Mind you, I don't see the world through rose-colored lenses, but I try to keep a positive light on things. But lately, it's been tough.
I know I'm incredibly blessed with a good marriage, great kid, another on the way, stable source of income, loving friends and family. So maybe I should just shut up and consider myself lucky... But I'd like to hear some GOOD news for once. Anyone got some?

i agree with your sentiments. i feel like ppl are just getting to be more informed via the internet... and we are growing up and taking on more responsibility (our kids) so it feels more "real." people have always thought that the world was going down the tubes. now it's just our peers' turn to think so.
yeah... i actually stopped watching the news for about a week. :(

i've been hearing a lot of bad news too.. not necessarily in the news but friends who are sick (with what could be seriously diseases.. not just the flu) and the only thing to do is be thankful of the gospel message like rbk said.
yes, i know what you mean proonner... so far, i found out recently that a mentor-type person has cancer (spread to four organs), another friend had a 2nd miscarriage, and a third had a 27-year-old cousin who died in his sleep.... i'm telling you, when it rains it pours...
dude. that is some serious stuff!! i wish i could come out and visit.. i need to get off the east coast for goodness sake!!
